"Well, another review from me :-)
I was running dangerously low on mascara, and I was trying to make my tiny bottle of mascara last until my birthday, which I was hoping to get a new one. But one day when I was at school it ran out! So I couldn’t put more mascara on my eyelashes. I was devastated. There was no time left, straight after school, I rushed to my nearest Superdrug’s store, and looked through the rows of mascaras on display, trying to decide on one to get. I looked at the Extra Super Lash Mascara and there were two colours available, brown black or black black. I decided to buy the black black mascara.
Even though I hadn’t used this mascara before I decided to give it a go as the other products I have bought by Rimmel were lovely.
The tube says:
• Build a natural to dramatic look.
• Super lash separation.
• Suitable for sensitive eyes.
• 0.27 fl oz 8ml
It only cost me about £3.50, bargain!
Once I got home I had a look at it, rather then leaving it till the next day and finding something was wrong with it. I noticed the brush looked a bit cloggy so I wiped it a bit on the top of the tube. After that, it was fine, and it did the job so I was happy!
The next day, I applied the new mascara to my eyelashes, but instead of separating my eyelashes, it made them stick together. As you can tell, I was annoyed because I was in a hurry for school and I didn’t have much time to sort it out. I just got my old mascara brush and just put it through my eyelashes. They sprang back into place and went slightly curly. I was so pleased; the new mascara had really bought out the colour in my eyes!
After this, I applied more of the mascara to my eyelashes and I have no problem with them getting stuck together anymore. I think it was just because it was the first time it had been used, but the brush still does get a bit cloggy, so just wipe it on the top of the tube.
Anyway, it was getting late and I was feeling exhausted; forgetting to take my mascara of I went to bed. When I got up in the morning, the first thing I thought about was the mascara; I had remembered that I hadn’t taken it of. I quickly picked up my mirror, and checked my eyes; they were how I had left them, no smudging at all just lovely eyelashes! It was great, no more smudging ever!
I decided to take the mascara off and put a new coat on, because otherwise it isn’t very good for your eyelashes, I removed it with some baby lotion and it came off just fine.
This mascara is a good emergency backup and its much cheaper then the other mascaras out at the moment. I have already recommended this product to all my friends (which I don’t normally do), and I have only had the mascara for about a week! Now I am recommending this product to all of you out there that are reading this review. ~ Enjoy "

"When it comes to mascaras, the consumer is utterly spoilt for choice - do you go for volumising, curling, waterproof, thickening, lengthening, or smudge proof? What you want from a mascara is a very individual thing and finding one that works for you in the way you want is often a lengthy process. I have gone through too many brands of mascara to count - Lancome, YSL, Rimmel, L'oreal, Maybelline - I've probably tried them all. Being blessed with dark thick hair (or cursed, depending on where the hair in question is!), I don't require my mascara to have extra special volumising powers, but simply to lengthen my lashes and not to smudge during the day. A smudge under the eye and a mascara is straight in the bin for me! You would imagine these criteria are not too difficult to meet, but Japanese brand Blinc's Kiss Me mascara is one of the only mascaras I have tried which has managed to satisfy both of these criteria and really impress me.
I remember the first time I came across Blinc's Kiss Me mascara which was about 10 years ago now in Pout in Covent Garden. At the time I remember it struck me as a novel and new form of mascara - instead of coating your lashes, it is a gel-like liquid which once applied it works by drying around your lashes to form tiny plastic tubes which Blinc claim will not smudge or flake all day. At the time it was a revolutionary product and to be honest I'm surprised it's not been more heavily copycatted by cheaper brands. It is now established as a cult beauty product and has been lauded by Beauty magazines too many times to mention and in my opinion is still the best of its kind.
The packaging is pretty plain, although they have redesigned it more recently to give it a rather classier look than it had previously. It comes in a maroon metal tube containing the mascara tube itself and instructions on how to use the mascara. I really like the tube of the mascara itself - the top that you pull the wand through is quite thin and pretty tight, so it doesn't end up with lots of clumps stuck around the rim, or let lots of air in when you have the wand out for application. The wand itself is also well designed, being slightly thinner than I am used to and slightly spiralled. It acts as an eyelash comb for me, separating out the lashes as you apply, ensuring each lash is coated individually. It's also shaped a little bit like an hourglass, meaning it is easy to angle to get those tricky lashes at the corner of the eye.
The formula of the mascara feels very light and looks a little shinier than others I've used. It does take a little longer than normal to dry so it is easy to get little dots of it on your upper eyelids where your lashes have touched. For this reason I would recommend doing your eye-makeup after applying your mascara! After a couple of minutes the mascara will have dried and you are tubed up and ready to go! It dries to a lovely glossy black, and looks really natural, not at all the 'dry' greyish black that some mascaras give and the effect is very sleek.
In terms of lengthening, I find this does a great job. My lashes look much longer and are more defined (thanks to the lashcomb effect) and generally more inclined to flutter! I always like to curl my eyelashes and this manages to hold the curl very well throughout the day. The volumising effect I find is not especially dramatic, but since this isn't one of my must-have criteria, I'm not too bothered by that. However, Blinc do a separate mascara primer which works to add volume before applying mascara, so if volume is your thing, this may work well for you. But the best thing about the Blinc mascara is that it absolutely positively will not budge. The tubes are not water-soluble, so you can get caught in the rain, watch a weepy film, have a fight with the boyfriend, and you know these won't budge as long as you don't rub. Because they are not water soluble, they are recommended for people with sensitive eyes or contact wearers as you won't end up with flakes or tiny bits of mascara in your eyes. There is no flaking as the day wears on - they can make it through a day at work and then head on into the evening without needing reapplying. I have pushed this mascara through rainy days, snowy days, nights out, stage shows under hot lights, and even trips into the shower (even I was surprised it passed that test!) and it has never let me down.
Removal is another quirk of this product - you don't need to use eye make-up remover, simply soak a flannel in warm water and use it to apply pressure to the eye and the tubes simply slide off. I was worried about this initially, thinking that I could easily lose lashes in this process, but they slide off easily and I have never lost a lash. They do look a bit weird on removal - a bit like little spider legs! It certainly saves on forking out on eye makeup remover though.
Blinc mascara retails at £18 which puts it on a par with premium brand mascaras like Lancome or Benefit's Bad Gal. I would rate it much higher than the Lancome Hypnose mascara, as I find it flaky and they clump easily. I really like Benefit's Bad Gal mascara for its volumising qualities, so if I'm looking for a more dramatic look, I will tend to go for that, but for everyday use, this is my mascara of choice. It is available in black (as far as I'm concerned, the only choice!), blue, dark brown and medium brown.
It used to be the case that Blinc products were really difficult to get hold of, but with so many beauty websites now stocking it, you shouldn't have too much difficulty. I bought my most recent tube from www.beautybay.co.uk and was very impressed - only £15 and it arrived the next day, or you can buy from hqhair.com or numerous other stockists. "

"Well as far as fat lashes go, I have to say I’ve had fatter. Nobody’s going to mistake you for wearing falsies. That said, I still really like this mascara. The brush is lovely – not too big, not too small – and gives really good lash definition without going clumpy or getting all over your eyelids. It doesn’t smudge but can be removed easily with regular cleanser or makeup remover, as opposed to the “tube”-style mascaras which require a lot of water and won’t come off just with cleanser. Plus it’s a nice dark black black. I’d buy this again"

"I love this mascara!! It's definitely the best in my opinion. No clumps or smudging, and it gives massive volume and pretty good length. A little pricey, but so worth it. "

"The mascara can make my lashes look really long. It’s also volumizing.
The only thing it’s a bit clumpy and does not curl eyelashes well. "
